Have you went and actually applied for child care, because here in WV, and yes it may very well be different than in Texas, but if a single parent or both parents are working or going to school full-time then they will provide child care based on income. Say you are slightly over the income guidelines then you still get child care, but it’s on a sliding scale type deal–you pay part of the child care and the state pays the rest.
